Maybe run new power wires to the HU and the Epic 160 straight to and from upgraded batt? I would trust the DMM right on the batt before the HU and Epic 160, however if the HU is shutting off at 9 volts than it is clearly seeing 9 volts. Maybe ground everything separate behind the HU with new grounds? Back when my truck had the e-fans, they MURDERED my voltage, and caused the truck to overheat.... Ditched them and went with a mechanical fan and shroud. Wouldn't be hard for you to get that setup, basically any 3/4 ton 454 GMT400 setup will work. Also never noticed the 95+ dash in this truck...how did that swap go?
