Rear of the car was stripped so I could fit the biggest box possible.

Bought my wood and had it cut at the lumber yard.

Here are some pictures along the way when I was constructing the box.

Finished product before the holes were cut.

Test fitting in the car. Also had to test fit the rear battery.

The box sticks out past the rear deck metal but that shouldn't matter because I will be sealing off ASAP.

Used a Jigsaw to cut out the holes. Probably the best holes I have cut to date. The woofers dropped in on the first try for both holes.

Took out all the screws and used wood filler to fill the holes.

I wanted to do threaded rod but then i wouldn;t be able to mount rear batteries and amps, so dowels were the next best thing. I liked how these turned out.

More sanding before priming and painting.

Priming, painting and clear coating.

Box is pretty much finished. I'm going to touch up all the edges and paint them black because the MDF soaked up a lot of the grey. Other than that i need to glass in the spring and this box will be at its full potential. More pictures soon, once I get it in the car and sealed in.

why not put the brace in the middle of the baffle? the edges are secured by the top and bottom

How sturdy where the rods you used to stack the amps? I'm thinking of taking your idea for my dd s2b's
