Nivram
At the moment My wall is sealed up at the rear windows, I was thinking to seal it off at the b pillar which would in turn take a good 5+cubes out of my cab. Im pretty sure it would make me a bit louder due to less air space but im wondering would it change the peak of my cab? I want my set up to get low. i dont want to make these trim pieces and just end up peaking higher. Should i do it or no? KnockinthaStreetzof608
all the time I played with in my mustang for my wall, the less cabin space I had I peaked higher not lower but again that's my setup so perhaps everyone is different Quote CAR -2005 Ford Mustang (Legand Lime) H/U -Pioneer avh 3200dvd Amps 2 AQ 3500d.1s strapped 1ohm daily .25burps 1Sundown Audio 100.4 1 Sundown Audio 125.2 Subs 4 AQ HDC'4s 12's Mids and highs 4 Sundown Neo Pro 8s 2 AQ Super Tweeters Electronical Mechman 270 unit 1 D3400 2 D3100's WALLED! Real96SS
Well I would think that by shrinking your cabin size its like shrinking your box size. Smaller means higher frequency and bigger means lower. I Think LoL!!! OrionStang
It will raise the peak. You can combat this by tuning lower, but then your box and cabin will 'fight' eachother, and you may gain nothing. PropertyCO
if it works right now and you're happy with it, i wouldn't risk it, i've got a regular cab ranger and my system seems to peak around 45hz, it sucks. Nivram
So I should just leave it alone and keep it sealed at the window? My wall is kind of far back. I wanted to be able to recline my seat a bit so I thought i should try and work on making it a bit smaller but i dont want to buy all the mdf and build it and not be happy. Nivram
i am tuned as low as i can go with the box I have unless i make a port that shares 3 common walls, I have no idea how to tune an L port and the last one i made was stupid loud from 50-70hz but it had no low's at all. Ive also heard that having more port area would increase lows. OrionStang
I would say stick with what you got, unless you want to rebuild the whole wall. Bigger port means higher tuning, so it would have to be longer. Or the box would have to be bigger.
