cmrs2k
Well, progress is in short supply these days. I have managed to spend a little bit of time with her today. I was able to accomplish the following: Installed new front o2 sensor Sprayed a lot of Meguiars interior "stank killer" in the interior cleaned some of the grease from the engine bay flushed, cleaned and refilled coolant confirmed that radiator fan does work took a quick drive and made a bit of boost sprayed a lot more Meguiars interior "funk destroyer" Bought radio harness adapter so that I can stick a CD player in it, the stock barely works That is about it. Just a bit of progress here and there. Hopefully tomorrow I will have time to at least get the oil will get changed before I plant myself on the couch to watch the Cowboys. cmrs2k
Any progress is good progress.Looks like a fun project car. Nice and clean from the looks. I would Fglass the interior sompin fierce....all of it. And fill it w/ audio...NO screens But maybe thats just me. If it was going to be an audio project, hell yeah, I'm with ya. Since I am going for fast all resources go to making it fast and/or keeping it on the road. Here is some of the most recent progress: Engine bay is a bit cleaner now. Coolant system flushed/cleaned. New antifreeze and water 50/50 mix and 1 bottle redline water wetter now flowing through it. Strangely, the T-stat seems to be ok. This was the first batch that we (a friend of mine named Joe and I) harvested. Nice huh? By the way, Joe really wants a DSM now too! Some of the fluids that have gone in so far, and thats not all of them Pics of Joe (Left) and I with my new money pit. Turbo timer: Factory crap gone and Pioneer single din installed. I will be installing some gauges in area above it, I just don't have them yet. Just a little bit more done. Almost all of the old gas is gone. The only thing keeping it off the road is the lack of legal status (tags and inspection). I will be getting that done soon. More later. Oh, Rusty, thanks. You know, there are some decent 1g dsms around for pretty good prices . It took a bit of looking but I found what I wanted.

cmrs2k
They are a sweet machine. I'm not saying that they are the fastest cars available by a long shot but they have always given me the best results for the $$ in upgrades. AWD launches really piss the guy you are racing off too. cmrs2k
To keep things up to date, the weekend was eaten up by commitments to a bunch of stuff. I managed to get 3 of 6 gauges installed. I have also aquired most of the parts necessary to replace the belts, the water pump, the various seals (cam, crank, etc.). I still have a few parts to order before I can get that done though. Since I have had the car, I have managed to convert a friend of mine, named Joe,to the dark side. He experienced a lot of ride time and work time with my 99 so he already knows what these cars really are. So, in the pictures you will find my friends new project as well. More soon. I hope.
