CleanSierra
I didn't deaden my back wall, just the trim panel underneath that goes the full length of the cab. I fully deadened the doors as well. The only thing I get rattle out of(and I don't think fords have it) are these vents on the back of the cab that are about 2-3 inches wide and 10-12 inches tall. These big skinny vents that I really have no clue what they do. Theres like a one way flap in them and it vibrates a little you can hear outside the truck. From inside though, the B-pillars are about the only thing that make a little noise. Since youre firing your port at your B-pillar like I am, you may think about deadening that sheet metal under the trim. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you. scooter99
I would say yes. Back wall and doors. Coming along nicely. Can I ask, not to be picky, but any reason you didn't round off the port edges, and countersink and fill the screw holes? I had an 03 stepside of these, fit a pair of 12's in sealed enclosure back there, but the center of the enclosure was all funky cause I needed the ability to flip that center piece up. For nothing else other than to hide the box behind it. I had an amp in there so I was able to drop the front back a bit. Miss that truck! Keep up the work man! Looks good. EDIT - Clarification, I'm sure there are other uses for them, but this is what I've been told before. So you don't blow your ears out! On my civic, I put a thin piece of deadener on the ones in the trunk, and it quieted them down considerably! I say thin, I mean thickness thin. Minimal mm if you can get some. Or even just a couple little squares if you can't find any thin stuff. You need those vents to do their job and weighing them down with big thick deadener is not going to do that.
