I was slammin and all the sudden it started cutting out and then it just went silent and into a "Protect Mode". I took all my door panels off to inspect the speakers for shorts or even a blown speaker which can trip the "Protect Mode" so said JVC's support team. In the end all my speakers were fine so it must be something on the internals. I am going to send it back to JVC and see whats wrong with it. I had a chance to buy a JVC KD-HDR61 for $105 which originally was $149 at Wires Inc. which is a local shop in town.. Just check out my build log and YouTube channel. When I order my next AQ 18 I am going to see if they will print the old logo on the dust cap so it will match the current one. I got zip 31 and some other songs loaded on my 1gb flash drive. Needless to say I am going to be purchasing a new one soon and I am thinking about getting one of those little small ones so It wont get hit or broken. I'll just keep my cd's as a back up tho. My next 3 purchases will be: - A Line Driver so I can up my rca voltage from 2.5v up to 5v. I will probably get a 10v line driver so I wont have to run it wide open. - 2nd run + wire to the back - Finally an Alarm (without remote start). I'm trying to make sure I got enough funds to make the show in Wilson on 4/6/12. DB Drag event so ill prolly run mine through.
