Its made for the dmr out in the desert. thye started to find it was a hassle to carry a bolt action and an m4 in some instances. They found by going to this platform they could consolidate if they needed close in support and could dial it up as wlel. At close glance it looks just like another m4. it doesnt scream sniper like the guy carrying abolt gun does if they get spotted.
