Intermittent Fasting + Diet = Weight Loss Update 8/11/2012

Recommended Posts

Looks like a good idea... If anyone follows this with him or tries it out and has a hard time not being crazy hungry.... adding in greens to that 1 meal will help you stay full longer... Just a thought...

That is true.

Once you get through three days you will get accustomed to the new eating pattern. Plus if you stay with the intermittent fasting even after you have reached your goal weight then you can up you calories to maintenance levels for your body weight and should be able to maintain that weight indefinitely.

I'd jump on this if I didn't need to bulk and lean out... lol... This is a great plan for losing weight, it's also great for people who are extremely busy... PLan that one meal during your down time and you're set... I did my weight lose another way and lost 30lbs in 4 months with diet alone... So I believe this will work, also the bigger you are. the more weight loss potential you'll have... A 5'10" - 210lb male won't see the same loss as a 6'2" - 300lb male....... Just sayin

Shogen you know they call this program lean gain's?

Just eat about 500 calories over maintenance and you wont have to go through the bulking phase then try to lean out again.

I would like to try this but I turn into a cranky little bitch when I get hungry. :lol2: I have heard rumors that celery actually takes more energy to digest than it give your body. Would that be okay to eat outside of your set timeframe if you get hungry or would that ruin the pattern?

So I've been doing this for a few days now, it isn't too hard for me. Went from 188.8 to about 186.6 (or so my scale tells me).

Is it safe to do cardio though? I normally eat either noon-4pm or a little later depending on my social plans for that day, but I run in the morning. I don't want to go out on a run and kill myself, lol.

Yes it is safe to do cardio and lift weights. In-fact it is recommended to do cardio and lift weights while you are fasting so you can burn more fat since you insulin levels are low.

Here is another good channel on youtube.

I'm definitely going to do this with you. I work second shift so it works out perfectly. I'm currently 6'3" 290 lbs. This time last year I was at 330 lbs. so I've come a long way. I've been slacking lately though. I also do cardio 3 days a week but I will bump it up to 5. You guys will be my motivation and I will post results as well!
