I noticed last presidential election the price of ammo shot thru the roof and it was almost impossible to find certain types of ammo. I wonder if that's what is happening now since you mentioned prices went up recently. If you are shooting birdshot or anythin gof that nature you shoot it on 2. what that does is allows more gas to enter the system slamming the piston back harder. you can actually damage the rear trunion if you shoot it alot with the settings wrong. There is alot of work that people do to make these things shoot cheapo ammo reliably.
