Looking for new mids...

Things im looking for:

1. any where from 4-8 ohms

2. rms rating as high as possibe (over 100rms)

3. OD NO BIGGER THAN 6.5"

4. no depth more than 3"

Budget.... whatever.

fyi, i REALLY wanted scendo pwx mids, BUT the OD is 6 7/8 which is too big.

check out the focal 6.5 midbasses on parts express. didn't look at the specs but they are $9 a peice and play very nicely. or also the T3 5 1/4's components.

that mid is 50w rms, and is no longer available.... and i need mids, not comps.

Where do you plan to install these drivers ??

The higher lines of component set will handle far more power than they are rated for, it is not uncommon to hear of people having two to three times the power rating on them but they do so with very powerful and clean amps so as not to play any distortion that could harm the speaker.

I myself am partial to hertz and love the power they take along with how well they sound at low and high volumes.

EDIT: If all you want are mids then hertz has a la carte so you can buy only the mids if that is all that is needed.

Where do you plan to install these drivers ??

kicks, probably doors, and middle console. Not looking for imaging or separation, more for sheer loudness and clarity.

try looking at the crescendo PWX's maybe?

not to be an ass.... but do you ever read anything? i let it slip the first post, i said 100rms or over, you told me about $9 50rms focals. now about the scendo mids.
