budah93
I currently have this head unit http://www.walmart.com/ip/JVC-KD-S37-USB-CD-Receiver-with-Front-AUX-In/15627186 with 2volt pre outs i believe. I was wondering if i upgraded to this http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_48464_Kenwood-KDC-X696.html with 4volt pre outs if i would notice a difference in the way my system sounded. Higher pre outs are good right??
Crandis16
your gains on your amps would each have to be turned down some otherwise you'll see distortion if you're still at your 2v preout gains My Red zx2 Build Log My Black zx2 Build Log My Red zx2 UBL
k3n12ock
It makes a difference since you get a higher voltage from RCA's from HU to amp so you'll get better sound amongst other things. I say go for it. 05 xB - (2) EVIL 18s - (2) BC3500s - NO WALL Channel 1: http://www.youtube.com/k3n12ock Channel 2: http://www.youtube.com/MrK3n12ock2

Skullz
The increase in voltage will only slightly help as your amp is now capable of playing louder with less distortion than with the lower voltage. The biggest improvement will come with a better H/U with higher pre-volt outputs, another option is a processor that increase output even higher than the 2v/4v H/U pre-outs can deliver. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2
