Phototini_xB
If I could get away with an 18" in a ported box with the port facing the front of the bunk and could cut a whole in the separator to let the port fire out into the cab would that pound harder? 2012 Scion xB Build- http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/150000-2012-scion-xb-temp-build/

Phototini_xB
Sorry for the stupid questions but it's been about 10-12 years since I've had a decent system. And back then it was in a Ford Bronco II. And if I can't cut the hole in the bunk wall for a port would a sealed 18" or two sealed 15's be a better bet? 2012 Scion xB Build- http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/150000-2012-scion-xb-temp-build/

Phototini_xB
I kind of figured two 15's would out do an 18" just because there is more woofer area. Just wanted to ask because I've never even seen an 18 in person before. Does it matter what direction the subs are firing though because with 15's they will most likely be firing upward. 2012 Scion xB Build- http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/150000-2012-scion-xb-temp-build/
KiKaZz74
i think no matter what ull have them firing upward. and what was the under the bunk u had to work with? maybe get a 18 or a 15 in a sixth under there if the room is there My SPL to SQ Build Log Vehicle:1997 Dodge Dakota Ext Cab 4x4 2009 Dodge Journey SXT5.2L V8 Magnum 3.5L V6 Stock AltEquipment: Headunit- Alpine CDE-147BT Mids/Highs Amp- JL Audio G6600 Class AB 6 Channel Sub Amp- Hifonics BRZ1700.1D @ 2 Ohms Taramps DSP3000.1D Sub- Hertz Hi Energy 12" HX300D SounDrive SDA3 12 Tweeters- Rockford Fosgate Power Series Silk Domes Hertz Hi-Energy Mids- Dayton Audio Reference 4" Full Range Drivers Midbass- Silver Flute 6.5" Hertz Hi-Energy 6.5" Processor- MiniDSP 2x4 RCA- 6 channels of SounDrive HF series Wire- EB Flex 2/0 -Member of Team SounDrive

I can do two 12's firing front though, just not sure if I'll get the feel I'm after in my price range with 12's. 2012 Scion xB Build- http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/150000-2012-scion-xb-temp-build/

The dimensions are roughly 18" H x 70" wide x 36" deep. But I have to wait until I get the truck to get exact measurements. That's just off the top of my head from the last frieghtliner I had. And my budget will be roughly 1000 bucks for sub/s, box and amp. So basically I want what ever will be the loudest don't really care what size woofers I end up with. 2012 Scion xB Build- http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/150000-2012-scion-xb-temp-build/
