ssackett
John there is no down side for the benefit of more power A great install is key but having power on tap is esential for what is he wanting.. Would you say you could reach your goals with one Shok 8.5k or are you better off now that you have two 8.5k's? Team S.S.C. ssackett
That amp is a beast but with 4 subs on one amp your gonna get stupid ohm rise get 2 of those amps I dunno I don't do the whole fan boy thing and try to make choice for you get amps that will do over 10k but I would do ether 2 or 4 smaller amps for your app It only took me 6 18's and about 40,000 watts 15 16 volt batts to do a 160 just fyi for you 160 goal 155 is much easyer to obtain Alpine, was this doing 160s daily on music or burp? (not a thread jack this is still related lol) OP, we have very similar goals with our rebuilds ill be watching for sure! I hope to be doing around the same numbers with 2 18s Burps Team S.S.C. Violence.
i did hit my goals with one. also best score i have done as of now is with 2 5k amps. with the 2 8.5k's i havent gotten into them due to limitations with the subs themselves. box will take the power but not the subs. so having the power is good but being able to use it correctly is something else also. he can do it. but i think this will require more box tuning ect then power. mrd6
build your shell as big as possible like c-fizzy said and then go from there after that you'll know how much real usable space you will have and can make a better assessment My Build Log: http://www.stevemead...-sundown-power/ Team NorthWestSPL
