I think I am about to order 4 LEvel 5 15s. CA glue does not like to stay bonded to the rings that I had made for the spider landings to allow me to use the Ti baskets. Got the one sub fixed and as I was afraid of, another one came loose. I think I am going to pull them and get 4 Level 5s built so I can finally be done and have the truck playing.

That's weird it won't stick to the ring, can you remake the rings with a different type of metal?

I think there was a coating on the steel ring when I got it. I should have grinded them down to give myself a nice scuffed surface for them to bond to, but you live and learn. I was trying to build something that had never been done before. I know I could definitely make it work, but if I am going to pull all of the subs back out, I want to put 4 back in that I know are guaranteed to work just like they are supposed to. I have already talked to Ana and have 4 m2 Level 5 15s being built.

I feel you on that. Lvl 5s should work great, just sucks to see all that work put in to building your lvl 6s only to scratch it.

I am actually really excited to get the Level 5s. That is the motor that I wanted to go with to start with. Not going all out with these this time though, just your standard cone and dustcap. I might revisit that and do CF later, but just basic for now so I can get them and get them installed in the truck.

Anyone interested in Level 6s, I will have 4 motors that I will rebuild into 18s per your desired specs. Just PM me with questions or for a price on them.

That explains alot of it. Most aluminum items getting polished up for give it that shine. But if u didn't them or use a wax and grease remover then it probly won't stick.

The aluminum rings I had would have been perfect, but these I had made out of steel when I switched to the Level 6s with the larger spider. Shit happens though. not gonna sweat it. If it were easy to get the subs in and out and I didnt have to remove the loading wall to do it, I would experiment with the 6s and make them work. But at this point I just want to have the truck done and playing. I have to be in Tampa Jan 14th and would like to take the truck with me. Once I leave home this year, I am gone for good. I will come home after the season in September, but that will be to pack my stuff up to move to Virginia. Getting married on Oct 12, 2013 and will be living in Va. Once I am there, I wont be able to work on the truck, so getting it done now is really important to me.
