Recommended Posts

alpine always suggest to never use 45s, they decrease the score, but can help in some cases.

45's actually take away the DB's was either Alpine or skittlergood that did testing on it. Can't remember which.

Probably because the 45s most people use take up extra cuft. Instead of getting tight triangular shaped wedges that fit perfectly in the corner.

so what does that do besides take up space as well? Your logic isnt exactly going to help your argument.

It does take up space, but not nearly as much.

Example below.

I like the precut from the hardware store idea, if you have to use a circular saw you can easily enough cut one side of the 45 with a fence from a larger sheet of wood. Cut the piece long enough to do all you 45's. Then cut the other side. Easier than working with small pieces

I dont know why yall want to argue about 45s taking up airspace. If you plan on using 45s in the box, then allow for that airspace that the 45s will take up. Simple solution. Of course if you test the same box with and without 45s, there will be a difference. Build 2 boxes with the same exact airspace, one with 45s and one without. That will be your test to see if they help or not.
