TylerParrish
What's the difference in the XP, D, and S series. I mean I know XP is for a supplemental power source, D is for audio, and S is for racing, but I see a lot of people running D as their upfront batteries, so does that mean I could use any of these batteries as upfront and secondary batts? SnowDrifter
IIRC the D series is suitable for use in the engine bay, while the XP series is not Quote ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
TylerParrish
I'll just stick with the D series then, screw it. rockFord_Expedition
I don't know much about the xp series, but I know that the s series is built to be lighter, and function mainly as a starter battery, while the d series is more dual purpose. That's about all I have to offer without doing some research. Skullz
The xp series can still work as a starter battery, just not under the hood of the car cause it was not designed to take the heat generated under there. The S series has the steel casing on the outside and the D series is the same as the S only without the steel case. Skullz
I think the xp was designed for quicker charge and discharge rates but don't quote me on that. BeAlLsTaR13
A and d series are 100% same performance wise, S series is lighter, XP is designed more for secondary use on daily setups, as they won't hold up reserve good enough for burps like S or D series If your interested I'm actually selling an s3400 for 165+shipping Quote Team Sundown Audio**CURRENT** -- 2012 Scion tC Build Click Here **OLD** -- 2002 Pontiac Grand AM Build Click Herecheck them out, slap me a comment2002 Pontiac Grand AM SE 2.2l 4 cylinder ecotec.-------------------------------------------------------------------Head Unit - Alpine CDA-9887Subs - 2x Z 12 v.2s - v.3 + NS Soft partsAmplifier - Sundown Audio SAZ-3500DEnclosure - 3.33 Cubes tuned to 34.66hzFront Stage - JBL P660c 6.5" ComponentsRear Deck - Powerbass 4xl 6.5" Mid-RangeFront Stage Amplifier - Sundown Audio SAX-100.4DWires - Kicker Hyperflex 1/0, KnuKonceptz 1/0, Knu 4 and 8 Gauge, Kicker RCAsElectrical - 275 AMP DC Power H/O Alternator, XS Power S3400, XS Power D2700Videos - http://www.youtube.com/user/BeAILsTaR13-------------------------------------------------------------------
