if you have trouble saving the BTL may not be the right choice for you, as youll be saving for more amp more electrical which you already are having problems with and most likely more on other speakers.

you cant take this hobby lightly. go big or go home. always remember "overkill". i know its hard saving up for big items in such a short time, but its worth the wait.

your amp isnt good enough for a BTL period your xplode will probably do exactly that trying to power a BTL

on the amp im on now i havent bridged it yet so i still got some power to give.

If you are talking about that sony amp it won't power that 12 inch Fi Btl worth a crap. Listen to me cause I am in the same boat as you. I am running two ten's on a 600 watt max amp probably doing 280-300 rms bridged at 4 ohms. I am running a 1 farad cap and my lights still dim. I am in the process of getting two 25 foot spools of 4 guage and a kinetics 600 for my trunk. Ill be running two runs of 4 guage one for pos and one for neg to the battery in the trunk, the reason I am running a run of neg is so I am sure I won't have a ground issue cause it will be coming from the stock battery up front.

not exactly. mostly likely you'll get the same RMS when bridging it. if you do get alittle out of it, great. but bridging is only going to raise the ohm load to 4 ohms. lets say........500x2 @ 2 ohms each channel. when bridging 1000X1 @ 4 ohms.
