revoracing247 Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 hmm maybe trying to do another t-line might not be what you're looking for then. btw do you have the dimensions of the t-line you just sold? what do you think about doing a 4th order? cause then you could get the best of both worlds. ~ If it was easy, everybody would be doing it ~
TeamHT Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 Not a huge fan, t lines can take up so much space. Do an ABC Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
StreetMetalBen Posted September 12, 2012 Author Report Posted September 12, 2012 Not a huge fan, t lines can take up so much space. Do an ABC Whats an ABC box? I did love my Tline!!! I got obnoxiousness roof flex with it)really need to fix that) And space really isn't much of an issue. Because i have so many different boxes, i can switch them out easily enough. This next line i do, i think i will tune to to my actual FS of the type R. But damn it will be big... 11.5 x 6.5 of port, 8.8 Feet long... that's a big box! I would LOVE to do the famous SS box, bby Powered 4 Sound... But if you don't get the box just PERFECT, you can hurt your sub or it could just fall on its face! Plus john doesn't sell them cheap!
StreetMetalBen Posted September 12, 2012 Author Report Posted September 12, 2012 Im actually thinking about selling the 12 and buying a couple V2 8's. Then just t lining those... or a DS box... But idk
StreetMetalBen Posted September 12, 2012 Author Report Posted September 12, 2012 Anybody want an Alpine Type R 12? Carbon fiber cone, 15" motor, Highroll surround? with an FS of 32? LOL
OrangeJuiced Posted September 12, 2012 Report Posted September 12, 2012 Not a huge fan, t lines can take up so much space. Do an ABC Whats an ABC box? Pretty sure this is also reffered to as a quasi 8th order. 2001 GMC Sierra Build. Body dropped and Juiced
StreetMetalBen Posted September 12, 2012 Author Report Posted September 12, 2012 Quasi 8th Order? .... Now your just screwing with me! Next your going to tell me its powered by a flux capacitor!!! Haha, Ill look that up! I've Been speaking with Pat From I.I. and I'm really thinking about trying a Snail Shell... And ill practice refining a T-line SQ box with a bunch of GRS 6 1/2's
TeamHT Posted September 12, 2012 Report Posted September 12, 2012 I like tlines, just PERSONALLY think they take so much space for the performance. Its possible to get the same performance, same response, AND best the numbers in a t line. show your age who knows what an "ABC" box is that i was talking about? Isn't a abc box adding another port firing from one side to to other Something like a quasi 8th order series. If I remember correctly, dual ported chamber, one port firing out like normal, second port fires into a second chamber which is normally about 45-50% the volume of the original chamber, with another equal port firing out Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?

StreetMetalBen Posted September 13, 2012 Author Report Posted September 13, 2012 A snail shell box is an older design by John Nolte, From Powered 4 Sound. Here is an old video that stirred up a bunch of $h!t back in the day. http://youtu.be/wtQst4ngekk
