definitely look into a mono amp for your woofer and run the 100.4 to your internal speakers. i can tell you're an old school guy by the fact you wanted to bridge the four channel to your woofers.

ok so let me try and get more specif and try to narrow down the right amps....

Ok so lets say your going to go with Rainbow SLC 265.25 NG both front and rear door panels...If i have to mod my truck for these to fit I will...

Your going to have ( 2) Sundown SA 10 D2 Subs in an enclosed Stealth box....

You happen to have a Cresendo 1000 C4 amp laying around .....which amp would you use to power this system ??

all of this is really new to me....i remember back when my father purchased me an 84 Trans am....I went out and got a kenwood deck and kicker subs in an enclosed box.....loved it till they got stolen...The shop that sold me that system is no longer around, i had upgraded the factory speakers to pioneer...i had no idea what the hell i was doing back then i have no idea what im doing now...

the only difference is i am now going and asking for advice and doing research on what a quality system should be...my daughter is the one that found rainbow speakers..hell i had no idea that company exists....And do I have to drive to St Louis to get the speakers the website says they do not allow products to be sold on the net...Man if i have to drive 10 hours for 4 speakers my daughter better get freaking straight A's for the rest of her school career....

At least your an awesome dad. I purchased my 96 accord by myself, read for 3 years on how to do all this audio stuff, installed my Polk mm's up front on a Rockford t600-4.. And I'm working on the rears in a few hours... Subs and rest are next month when I can afford it.. You know what dad said? "yeah sounds good, I don't like how you mounted that amp" and got out...at least your cool and like audio and such. My system really does sound killer and he couldn't even give me that. Just keep supportive of them. Dads a great provider but unless I have a question about being a mechanic (no audio no sports no other help at all) he just shrugs it off.

I've herd good things about those rainbow speakers. And sundown SA's get down really good. Buddy of mine has 2 SA 12's on a skar 1500 and it sounds pretty nice, doesn't hurt like I want mine to... But it's still pretty awesome considering his power doesn't require him to do electrical upgrades like mine will. X2 on looking into mono block amps for subs. Good choice on 4 ch amps. And x2 on the head unit. I went with a pioneer 7400hd and love it. But take your time and read all the reviews you can on them before you buy.

I had my stock system for 2 months while I was fixing my car up before I could afford any audio. And after my head unit amp and front stage is in, I don't regret the wait at all.

Just my $0.03 :)

thank you, i had a great teacher in that regard....

I am having design rides near me do most of the installation and as much as i love the work they do, and they will be doing some future mods....

they did recommend a HU but in terms of speakers, amps etc they didnt offer any so im pretty much on my own and need to get it right or it will sound like high end crap.

So its necessary for me to do as much research and admit i dont know crap about this and ask those that do...

I cant fathom spending thousands of dollars and either buying the wrong amps, or wrong something and it not work together...or it sound like crap...

looking at the Cresendo website i found the Cresendo BC2000D Mono Amp....would this and the Cresendo 1000c4 amp be sufficient to power the subs and speakers ?? If so then that is what i will get....I can worry about a decent HU when i go to Detroit and actually see and hear the units up close and personal.

so i could go out and purchase a Cresendo mono or two channel amp and it will power the subs ....and allow the 4 channel Cresendo C1000.4 to power the speakers ??

You'll want a mono amp, they are far more efficient and intended for powering subwoofers. The 1100.4 and 1600.2 are mids/highs amps.

EDIT: A BC2000D and 1100.4 would be a good pair and match nicely, of course.

I'm gonna hate

Ok so i would need those two amps the BC2000D, and the 1100.4 and do away with the 1000.4 i own ?

Keep the 10004.... There is nothing wrong with it right? Also yes to the BC2k ... If that's the amp you want that would be a pretty good one...Don't spend more money than you have to... Plus even if you have that amp you own installed you could swap it out later on if you really wanted to...

Pioneer Premier P880PRS ll Front Stage: US Acoustics 4060 - Random speakers currently ll Sub Stage: Crescendo BC3500D - 15" Xcon sealed @ 3.28 cubes ll Electrical: - Kinetik HC1800(front) NEW***DieHard P-2(rear)

beaker- I know this sounds like a lot of anime bullshit, but it is true.

its a good amp, nothing wrong with it....Ok so i just need to save up and order the other amp...BC2k and the subs and speakers .....

I still do not know what speakers would sound good, and what type up front and rear...I was thinking of (2) 6.5 mids and a tweeter, up front and go with two 6.5 in the rears no tweeters...

Now the big decision on which brand to go with....wow this stuff is very complicated....I think this would be ok as it is similar to what i have in my truck now..granted what i have sounds like complete crap.

from what ive read Rainbow makes an awesome speakers, but as i mentioned their website states no authorized dealer can sell Rainbow over the net...and neither do they...So unless I want to drive 10 hours for some speakers i guess i will pass on them...

Any suggestions on quality speakers that would sound good with the 4 channel Cresendo 1000.4 amp ??
