Airborne
The under hood insulation on my 91 3KGT VR4 is shit. Can I use some of my B Stock under there without it coming down all over the engine?
hdorre
The under hood insulation on my 91 3KGT VR4 is shit. Can I use some of my B Stock under there without it coming down all over the engine? Wait, you have a 3/S?? Me too! I have a '95 N/A. People stick it to their roofs, so the only difference that I can imagine under the hood is heat. It says online "High temperature butyl adhesive with increased elastomeric properties" Maybe you can do a DampPro/Heatwave Pro combination. The site says it can be put on top of Damp/DampPro. Jon will have to chime in. knowledge
i imagine the heat under there will still soften that high temp butyl adhesive though Quote REFF'SMy linkEBAYhttp://feedback.ebay...ck&myworld=trueI love car audio so much because I will never be done. I can never win, and I will never get it finished or perfect. It always has me coming back for more, I can never get my fill of it, but I get what I need. Second Skin Rep Jon
All versions of Damplifier (b-stock included) can be used under the hood without any issues or fear of coming off. Just make sure you prep your hood appropriately by removing all grease/residue prior to installing the material. I had Damplifier Pro installed on my hood for several years until I decided to redo a few things... lets just say it was a pain in the royal ass to remove it. If you are the least bit worried about it, as Jason suggested, Spectrum would be a better solution as it will DEFINITELY not fail. Quote Have a question about Second Skin? E-Mail me!
