so those knockoff hertz speakers you see. Those beats by dre that you see. Those fake oakleys you see. Where do you think they come from? Are they even close to the same quality? Ill answer that. No they are not. They suck. They look like they are real but thats where the comparisons stop. Alibaba is where most of those guys get their stuff from. China doenst care about counterfeit stuff. Never have never will. As long as that 8 year oild kid and his family keep banging em out for 6 cents a day. This is what you seem to have a problem grasping. It can look the same. But its not. I dont even understand how this is such a difficult concept for an individual to grasp. Ignorance is truly bliss. and you idiots must be as happy as gay people getting married in a patch of flowers.

If that VVME sub had a magnet boot on it that said "****** Audio" on it and the dustcap said "*****Audio" on it, and it was a heavily advertised brand with reputable people backing it up, and lets say they only charged $129.99 for it, people would be all over that thing like flies on shit. And it would still be considered an incredible value verses all other woofers on the market in that price category.

This, with the exception of the stitched surround, which looks kinda cheap

Don't worry, you can have that stitch done in any color you want.

I meant how it looks cheap. It's almost the same stitching as those crunch $20 subs from frys I tried out a few weeks back, lol.

If you had something that covered at least the top and had it in a box (assuming someone did not like to take out 8 screws, cause I've seen a LOT of people selling subs who thought that taking the sub out of the box was some sort of witchcraft), it would look a lot better.

I know you have a lot of power and even if you tried one of these you would not be impressed due to being used to 4 DD's, but they really are not that bad. As I said before, I have been giving one about 800w rms in a slightly too small enclosure. They don't like generic songs but anything that has had clipping removed/optimized is great (example: anything about 34hz and higher from decaf)

Yes, they are comparatively cheap. I think they are just a little too cheap to be reliable but I have not had any problems so far. if they were $100 (assuming that extra $40 was put into quality control) I would say these would be a LOT better and worthy of any setup.

Are you running those subs off the saz1500 at 1ohm?

I only have one so far, so it's only 2 ohm. But yes. It's getting 800w rms or so.

N8 im not trying to argue with you, but where would the legit part of china be that kicker is having they're woofers made, or all these other companies that are selling chinese made woofers because thats where most are coming from. thats how a lot of these brands that are out there operate behind the scenes, And then add a story to it to make them credible to the industry. "We designed this this way because" blah blah trademark a few words to describe it so no one else can use the wording in that way to describe something.

You and I run DD, so this whole entire thread does not even apply to us. We buy woofers that are hand built by people making a decent livable wage in the US, and from a company that is actually designing and experimenting with new technology to continue to become more advanced.

Kicker CVR 12 Retail $139.99

But I can order 1,000 of these with no kicker logo from a build house for a little more than $20.00 Kicker adds on the fancy logo and a wicked rubber boot on the magnet and walla, $129.99 retail speaker.

Label-less kicker CVR

lies!!!! and i get those kicker cvr for $120 a pair not $129 each like you posted..

"and are doubling to quadrupling they're money on each one sold"

wow if they are double-ling or quadrupling the money on a cheap sub, that only proves this sub is even cheaper than i thought. . by what you posted it means that company gets the sub for $14.75. i dont think that covers material plus labor

I'm not lying about shit, this is how it works, just keep reading the thread.

I stated the suggested retail price, not the cheapest price you can find them online.

I am a distributor, I buy from manufactures, I DI bulk stuff to cut costs even more (direct import aka bypassing the supplier and going directly through a manufacturer), and I sell to retail, I clearly understand exactly how this works.
