I had the same thing. Did some research on it next day and there is this special type of lightning that exists in the atmosphere and never touches the ground. You can see it without hearing any sound.

i would agree with that. but there was 5 fighter jets going towards it and it looked like other aircraft surrounding it. if it is search lights. then im cool with that to. but these lights had to have been 15 20 miles away from base. and we saw 3 other fast moving lights just bolt across the sky.
