strapping 2 amps together ? like bolting them next together? using bungy cables to hold them down? or wiring separate amps to each sub

What all are you planning on having in the end? I'd recommend getting a nice head unit before amps/speakers/subs. I like the idea of getting electrical stuff out of the way first, though.

amps and electrical system would be the first thing i would focus on. they go hand in hand. inadequate electrical + big amps = not so fun

i also like JVC headunits, i say start headunit and look into the Big 3, then proper electrical to run what you want, then amps, then subs if you're fine with your current interior's, then interior speakers and a 4 channel after that, then into the deeper, more time consuming, and more expensive things.

What the f**k is an appropriate signature supposed to look like?

Plan it out. If your thinking of going big pick your equipment and get the proper electrical to go with it. I've got next years build in mind and first thing is first and that's electrical

thanks for all yall's help. i appreiciate it.

and what im planning on getting for sure.. a new head unit (idk which) but not a touch screen just a single din, 2 DC 2.0k's and 2 DC xl 12's

a singer 240 amp alternator, a d6500 under hood, and ither 2 3100's or 2 6500's. (both would work for me)

but idk, i think i might just order the alternator and then go buy a new good head unit right now.

I wouldn't spend too much on a head unit as to my experience there are just small differences. I would get one with 3 RCA out: soo much easier afterwards to control the bass. You won't be using 80% of the chit chat the fabricants tell you you need. ;)

I'd go for 1 amp to power the woofers, it's easier to set the gains etc. Don't make it too difficult, keep it simple where possible.

Mids & highs: DLS Ultimate 5 1/4"

yeah i didnt want some big expensive ass head unit that i dont even know how to work.. haha but yeah all i do is listen to the radio, my ipod or my phone plugged in it so i dont really need anything, but a usb port would be nice for charging purposes.. and i know the DC 2.0k's can be strapped @ 2 ohms for 4K. and i think strapped all i gotta do is set the gains on the master amp and the slave amp will follow. is that correct?

also i agree with the 3 rca outputs too. ill keep looking and see if i find anything and ill post it on here.

i get ALL the equpiment first sub amps mids highs everything then when i have everything i start collecting tuff for electrical to match

when getting all equipment first sometimes things change like biger or smaller subs and amps so i do electrical to match sucks doing all your electrical to find a deal on abadass big amp and now having to add to your eletrical to support it

Have you ever had your woofers blown?
