But here goes nonetheless, I look forward to any input! Background Info: I'm running (4) DC Audio M2Lvl28's powered by a DC Audio 3.5K. This year was my first year competing and I won my first (only) local competition (single point DB Drag) with a 142.5 in the Street A class. I plan on remaining in Street A, but want to get up to a 150 if possible. So I have been doing research on box design and stumbled across 6th order bandpass. Seems like an interesting concept and I would like to try it out. The canvas is the backseat of a 2011 F-150 Crew cab so I've got plenty of room to work with The question: - Can a 6th order be done using 8's? I've only come across 18's in my googlizing. - The design that peaked my attention the most is the 3 chamber dual reflex enclosure found HERE. Good or terrible idea? certifiednut Posted October 16, 2012 Report Posted October 16, 2012 on caco there was a thread where a guy was giving out 6th order designs for 8s. everyone seemed to like them, i was kind of thinking to build one myself, but time and money are both kinda short right now these orphans aren't going to feast on themselves

I'm not even sure what caco is..? haha. in my option if you new to the audio seen stick with a standard ported box until you learn a bit more Nahh!! That's not nearly as much fun! lol. I've already got a standard (well not slot, but I assume by standard you mean 4th order) ported box and I know what it can do. Hence why I want to try something new/different. I've also toyed with the idea lately of a T-line box.
