jl_pearson Posted October 15, 2012 Report Posted October 15, 2012 I'm a bassheads' girlfriend turning basshead myself. I have big plans for the coming year. This is Blue, 2000 Ford Explorer XLT. I love this car. It started with a pair of JL 10's on a Kicker ZX400.1 No pictures. Wanted something more, so we upgraded to a pair of Diamond D1 12s, still on the Kicker ZX400.1 Amp mounted to the back of the box. And again wanted more. Had this box built. Originally had a rebuilt woofer from a Mojo motor aka "Franken Mojo" I thought I had heard it bottoming out so we switched it to the AQ 15 HDc3. Also did some power upgrade. Got a Cerwin Vega Stroker 1000.1 and added a Kinetik HC800. Again mounted to the back of the box. And AGAIN WANTED MORE. I was looking for something that hit lower. Box is 3.5 cubes tuned to 35hz, with three 4" aero ports. Put a XS D6500 under the hood. Still have a stock 130 alt, but I find voltage drop to a minimal with this battery. Also did my big three. I was really disappointed to learn there's no such thing as pink 0g. So we used pink tech flex over black/grey on the part of the wire people saw. Little trip to JoAnns.... BAM! Zebra covered box! Amp is mounted to the back flap of the seat that lays down. Temporary location for the Kinetik. As is sits now. Team NWSPL Team DC Audio Team Spit n' Go

baaudio Posted October 16, 2012 Report Posted October 16, 2012 we got 143.6 @ 45 hz out of this AQ in the new box on the 1k. 142.5 @ 35 hz. black box with blue port originally was built for a DC Level 4 M1 that i got a good deal on, ended up selling it. She's keeping right on my heels with her rebuilds... Til i jumped to my wall. Swears she wont wall her car but its only a matter of time.....
