HunterJohnson Posted October 20, 2012 Report Posted October 20, 2012 Is it a problem to have your motor only 1/2 inch away from the back of the enclosure right here the port is? SnowDrifter Posted October 20, 2012 Report Posted October 20, 2012 Pic? What do you mean right where the port is? That is why I want a pic. If your situation is how I am imagining, I'd be concerned about loading issues. ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
AMI CUSTOMS Posted October 20, 2012 Report Posted October 20, 2012 Back of motor next to a wall, not a problem, it can be damn near against it. But next port wall or port could be a loading issue like mentioned already need pic of what you got going. HunterJohnson Posted October 20, 2012 Author Report Posted October 20, 2012 as per request. Overview picture Here's about the space. its around an inch. AMI CUSTOMS Posted October 20, 2012 Report Posted October 20, 2012 Yes that will have a weakened output due to the sub basically loading halfway into the port, you could see loading issues depending on what you play and power applied to the sub. SnowDrifter Posted October 20, 2012 Report Posted October 20, 2012 Put the sub on the right side/center of the box and you should be fine ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
