mttornquist Posted October 20, 2012 Report Posted October 20, 2012 cool thats good to know. I enjoy building tiny boxes for customers but tight areas get tricky! Small boxes tuned low are always interesting. That box had some TINY tolerances for everything to fit! My Build Log: http://www.stevemead...lmost-complete/

ROLEXrifleman Posted October 20, 2012 Report Posted October 20, 2012 Back in my day the rule of thumb was you needed 1/2 the diameter of your woofer distance from the back of your enclosure. So if you had a 12" sun you needed at least 6" between the back of the magnet and the wall of the enclosure. Then again we paid $1+ a watt too Rolex you sicken me. Just let me finish my pie ~ Juice

If that was the case on this woofer it'd be a weird as box Lol and 1$ a watt. That's rediculous, my saz 3500 would cost 3.5 grand whattt Scion tC SQ BuildiPad mini, lots of fabrication, daily drivenFord Explorer C Pillar Wall Build Just a cheap car to destroy with bass

Back then great amps were made in the good ole USA with gold traces and very high quality parts. I still have a Fosgate Punch200 that I bought from a friend. Pretty sure the list price for it in 1993 was $649...for a ~500W amp. Speaking of, that bad boy is going in my build soon! I miss amps like that......
