First decent system help....

I don't have the big 3 done yet but I want to do it just incase I ever decide to upgrade. Thanks severancej for the idea on the 0 gauge, I climbed on my head last night and looked under the dash and found it. But I have to ask where did you run it after that because the edges by the door seem way to small to run 0 gauge in and get the carpet to still cover it. I think I am going to go with the sundown sa12 and the brz1200.1d for the sub/amp combo. Now I just have to find somebody in the Louisville area to build me a box because I haven't built one since I was 17 so it's been awhile. Anybody from Louisville area want to help a fellow basshead out? Or make a suggestion as to who to take it to? I ran it through the clutch grommet, then down and over along the emergency brake cable for a foot or so, then under it and right along it up to my driver seat then under the seat there is a cut in the carpet for the motorized seat wiring, thats were my distribution block is and my sub amp...

Theres a little buldge in the carpet but not bad at all for zero gauge...

Also right there is s great spot to droll through the floor to ground to the frame!! Thats a must! Just silicone the hole up street you run it..

Idk what alternator you have...i had 95 amp but there is an option at auto zone for a 140? I think it is...but that fits so just an fyi...

Also I'm in cincinnati I could help build a box, the first design I ever constructed was very simple and joeX on here helped me with the cut sheet and plan!! I can help but....my time is damn limited with work and new baby girl lol.

Sweet man thanks for the idea on runnin that. I might end up doing that when I get off tonight, depends on how I feel, allergies are wicked messed up right now. Cinci isn't far at all, in fact my mom is moving there next week to start her new job. And what would I use to bolt to the frame,like drill it and then sand it and then fasten it, I've done it once before in my car but it was a pain in the ass to do. Could I use an existing bolt to ground it to? Sorry for all the questions. I got one more and I'm done for now haha I got a Siriusxm receiver mounted on the windshield when I bought the truck, will I still be able to keep that and use it with my new headunit? Keep 2/3 of your back seat and put one SMD 18 where 1/3 of the backseat was . sub up port up, 5 cu ft box , and a rockford 1500 or T2500 , extra battery, fat wires, and that Big 3 uprade along with alternator and you will piss those screamo solo speakers off

Anyway yes yu can keep the satellite radio, and for the ground just grab a tap like a 3/8 -16 tap and a 3/8-16 by 1" bolt and a 5/16 drill bit.

Then drill it, tap it, sand it and put a ring terminal on your wire, bolt it down maybe with a little blue loctite, and spray it with maybe black spray paint to prevent rust

K then up at the negative on the battery, try to run an extra ground from the negative post right down to the driver side frame rail, and do another tap there also.

Keep your rca cables away from power. You can move the carpet enough with that trim out to be able to run the rca right past the 4x4 selector on the floor and down the center of the cab up too under the seat also. That should keep interference out.

Another step I took to be sure I wouldn't hear any noise in the system is having common ground. instead of using the factory radio ground, wire your own ground over into the amplifiers frame ground. My radio, line driver, and both amps all ground to the same point, tsunami makes sweet all in one (pwr& ground) distribution block.

Btw I think a rockford fosgate p1000-1 or a T500-1 on some sundown E or SA 12s in the proper box will amaze all but the more experienced bassheads! Not sure you need more than 1000w and I know the truck wont like even that, next step is a XS power d2700...worth every penny!

Yeah just a single sub setup for now so I don't have to lug a box in and out all the time. Unless you have a suggestion on something else. And I like your idea on the SMD 18 if I only had the money, my mirrors vibrate now with the stock HU and door speakers i couldn't imagine what an 18 would do to them. Haha I really wanted to get my 0 gauge ran last night but it got a little chilly after I got off at 1am, but i put in for 2 paid days off so I could get it all done lmao not a bad idea on the hdc3 either, been looking at audioque for a long time but I think I'm going to go the SA12 route due to money strains

I have another ? For you guys, I have some door speakers that are 4 ohm and I wanted to get a small little amp to push those as well, what could I get to push those too? That way the mids and highs are at least somewhat trying to keep up with the lows.
