cartmann32 Posted October 23, 2012 Report Posted October 23, 2012 Okey dokey....here's what I've been working on over the past week So I was working on a client's 300ZX's new dash panel for a Double Din Conversion and he stopped what I was doing and planted a seed in my head. Deadmau5 Helmet......Made by Trax Customs........for Halloween!!!! It was all good until he said Halloween....as this was literally a few weeks ago and my schedule was already gnarly!! Plus SEMA is in a week... So after some coordination, work began. The plan was fiberglass the sh!t out of this thing until I had my other project roll in the shop (more fiberglass, but on a RZR side-by-side, see pics below). So i did the whole helmet out of fiberglass and took it as far as I possibly could until I had to start work on the RZR. Owner took it and is doing body work currently. After the lens gets smoked it's headed back here for some final LED work. I'll update once I get it back....but for now.....pics explaining all the damn dust and crap that's EVERYWHERE in my garage. Here's the last I saw her until she gets painted......sittin' atop my next full blown fiberglass install

cartmann32 Posted October 29, 2012 Author Report Posted October 29, 2012 Well...this one is done (ish) and in the books....ish Owner didn't have as much time as he'd wanted to for the body work....and after some thought, decided to paint it and come back to it after Halloween...which will work out better in the end. Got the helmet to me and I finished installing everything but the EL Wire. Thing turned out pretty gnarly....ran into him downtown after the bars closed and he had a smile from ear to ear (not the helmets smile...his smile)....so that must mean he liked it :) Helmet will be tore back down later and body-worked to perfection!!!!
