Keep blowing right side tweeters

Completely agree on replacing those with another brand and i am also partial to hertz and would recommend them as well over the rockford units.

EDIT: Quite possible the right side is getting a stronger output putting it just close enough to blow the tweets.

Also with running active you have no protection against over powering them like you would with passive crossovers.

Left and right channels don't allways put out the same power. And I would cross them over at 5k -12 dbs

Other than that turn em down speakers can't allways handel what they say they will

Yeah I understand that signal wise and output wise the left and right channels may differ slightly but when I measured on PEAK/HOLD on my meter the VAC on the left and right channels of both the RCA's and speaker outputs on the amp the difference was in the .001 of a VAC difference. But what are the chances of ONLY the right channels on both the front and rear sections of the amp having the same output difference?

I guess like you said I'll tune by Ohms law instead of by scoped signal and hope that helps.

Just cause you scope something does not mean you can't overpower them with music that was mastered louder than most everything else you have, so you may have a few songs where the signal is much stronger and thus sending more power than you are expecting it to.

I totally agree with you. So what I went ahead and did was played three tracks that the vocals to the ear were the loudest to give me dynamic range and again measured the VAC on the RCA's to see if there was a notable difference between the left and right channels which there wasn't. So in theory if the right and left channels are providing the same amount of power and ONLY the right side of tweeters have blown TWICE now and the left continue to play under dynamic conditions could it be concluded that overpowering is out if the question?

no.... music is mastered at differnt levels the right and left can be differnt on the music as well... also music can be clipped and your o scope reading are on music that is no clipped

again turn em down and raise you xover point to 5k......

Have you ever had your woofers blown?

Check all of your wiring over for those tweeters too. I've had it happen before where the speaker wire had a cut and ground out to the chassis of the car, causing the tweeters to blow.

also you sure its not out of phase on the right sidei said xover at 5k 2 times now

not just for power handling when you go lower than 5k you are setting an xover point right the middle of a stageing que

Sorry wasn't ignoring your advice. I was going to attempt that when I get them back from swap out.

No, they're not out of polarity I triple checked that, both last time this happened and then again this time.

Question though, as I know minimal about cascading. The tweeters frequency response begins at 3kHz so why would I not begin the HP there? 5kHz@-12dB/Octave would not accentuate the 3kHz range correct? The mids are BP'd 70Hz to 3kHz@-12dB/Octave.
