WCA Rusty
2.5" wold be cool, but there will always be a trade off,. Just a super bad ass 2" coil Im going into this project with a 2" in mind, If it works out I can go larger than I may but based on the amount of spider I can fit on a 8 and it still fit through the cut out needed for the driver a 2" may be all that will fit without limiting a diffrent part of the drivers performance. CJ18
So i gues that rules out the possibility of a Level 6 8 huh.
corona_jeff
Lol.....lvl 6 8. I'd love to see that mounted. Personally I don't see a reason for anything bigger then 2". As stated 8s are commonly used in limited space applications. If there's room for a monster step it up to the Xl 10 lol. But we need something for here damn trucks and small hybrid smart cars

Sheena
Not like it matters, but I think a really good comp set would be nice. What's the demand for 8s anyways? Of course they're new so they will be bought up, however, a comp set would cost just as much (for us buyers) or around the same. 8s aren't really worth all this R&D, just to reuse a level 2 motor. It's like refreshing the look of a level 2 8, except it takes a year to get them tooled and rolling. Rather spend that time working on something worth while. Again, this is my opinion, and idk the sales figures on your current 8s, but a good comp set sounds fantastic. Pro7
You could design a detachable motor so you mount the basket and soft parts then attach the motor inside the box.. I think that's the key to a level 6 8!!
