tefik95bass
SSD isnt meant to take 2k. Look out for these: SSA Xcon DC XL Sundown Zv3 AA Mayhem IA DP etc. he might have had a 2k amp it dont mean he fed it 2k watts. he could have been clipping and most likely was recone and wire it to 2 ohms and set gains properly and you will be fine with the 2k amp you have. you can always upgrade later to another ssd and wire it at 1ohm I let Car Tunes throw in my amplifier for me to be safe. My gains were set with a DD-1, No bass boost or anything on the radio. My SSD was D2 and i had it wired at 1 ohm. I felt like the thing was asking for more power. I wanna say i fed it right under 2k when it blew 2007 Trailblazer LS 4.2Pioneer DEH7400hd1 XS Power S3400(front)1 XS Power D3400(rear)150A stock alt 15" DC Audio XL m21 Crescendo BC2000d
ChevyBoy95
if it was "asking for more power" the neither the box was terrible or you went over thermal limits without hitting mechanical which would make since with the clipping part. Just because it is set with a DD-1 doesnt mean it was set right, 0db or -5db tone 40hz, and the music you play has to not be dirty. tefik95bass
Not literally, just a form of figurative language. But the box isn't the greatest it came with the sub when i bought it. Im planning on rebuilding one anyway for whatever i decide to put in there. This is still my first system and im still learning some of the basics, but what do you mean by "dirty" music. All the music i play is high quality if thats what you mean. 2007 Trailblazer LS 4.2Pioneer DEH7400hd1 XS Power S3400(front)1 XS Power D3400(rear)150A stock alt 15" DC Audio XL m21 Crescendo BC2000d

CleanSierra
If the box truly is 5 cubes or so(after displacements) you need to build the proper box. I'm sorry to hear about the blown woofer, it sucks. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
