walwalka Posted November 27, 2012 Report Posted November 27, 2012 Are the valves not sealing properly or are they just simply not working? This could just be a valve adjustment is needed, but if they aren't working at all then. That could be a major valve-train issue. Also, honda's have this cool little device called an ELD lol. If it has gone bad this will basically kill the power that is being supplied from the alternator which would cause these funky problems like a misfire or a rough idle until something causes the alternator to kick on because the engine is not being supplied the right voltage. I would check your voltages while idling and while revving the engine. Skullz Posted November 28, 2012 Report Posted November 28, 2012 Could be an injector not working. Could be the wiring to the injector. Could be the spark plug not working. Could be the spark plug wire. There may be one of several things not working but you'll have to try and test each one. cuetip Posted November 29, 2012 Author Report Posted November 29, 2012 i dont have any audio stuff in my civic yet.. and skullz i have new wires, new spark plugs new distributor cap.. it was doing it before i switched all this stuff out, but i may need some new fuel injectors, so i cant go see my mechanic until monday since he has 2 projects already.. so im just trying to find a process of elimination lol and Vette tell me what u mean by FITV??

Fuel pressure regulator, vacuum line(s), TPS is off or the throttle cable needs replaced, etc. These are a mechanics dream. Find a good one or it will be, it's this, or this, well maybe it's this...Ok I got it this time it's this. 1k later... How does it start? Do you have to crank it for a few seconds? If so, then it is more than likely fuel related as in too much. (Sorry if I missed that if you said it already.) Blown
