jizazz12
I recently picked up a 01 Yukon, the headliner was trashed so figured i would go ahead and refinish it. I pulled the headliner out and started pulling off the old material as i'm doing so i say to myself self this is coming off to easy and low and behold it was, i mistakenly pulled off the layer of fiberglass that covers the foam material along with the cloth. My question is can i still use this with the new covering? will the adhesive stick to this or am going to need to buy a new shell? As always any and all help will be greatly appreciated thanks . 2007 Chevy Impala LS 1 Crescendo 3KWP 1Crescendo C1000/4 2 DC lvl 4 15's with lvl5 dual .7 coils 1Audio Control Matrix 1 Pioneer P880PRS 1 300 amp Iraggi alt All power runs done with Knu flex 0/1 guage 1 optima yellow top under the hood 1 XS 5100 and two Deka's in the trunk 4 Crescendo MP-8 mid bass drivers 2 DB Drive p5 5 D Pro Audio tweeters

I removed all the old material but the the actual headliner shell in these isn't like the older cars it's made of a foam center sandwiched between two very thin pieces of what look like fiberglass board, the cloth, vynal what have you get's glued to this board but when i removed the old cloth material this thin layer of fiberglass came up with it, i'm just not sure if i can glue anything to this not sure it will adhere. 2007 Chevy Impala LS 1 Crescendo 3KWP 1Crescendo C1000/4 2 DC lvl 4 15's with lvl5 dual .7 coils 1Audio Control Matrix 1 Pioneer P880PRS 1 300 amp Iraggi alt All power runs done with Knu flex 0/1 guage 1 optima yellow top under the hood 1 XS 5100 and two Deka's in the trunk 4 Crescendo MP-8 mid bass drivers 2 DB Drive p5 5 D Pro Audio tweeters

jizazz12
It's still rigid just seems a bit on the brittle side, i'm wondering if should try and reinforce it somehow? Not real sure what to use. 2007 Chevy Impala LS 1 Crescendo 3KWP 1Crescendo C1000/4 2 DC lvl 4 15's with lvl5 dual .7 coils 1Audio Control Matrix 1 Pioneer P880PRS 1 300 amp Iraggi alt All power runs done with Knu flex 0/1 guage 1 optima yellow top under the hood 1 XS 5100 and two Deka's in the trunk 4 Crescendo MP-8 mid bass drivers 2 DB Drive p5 5 D Pro Audio tweeters
