$386.10 for a 200A Alternator ~130A idle? Good or no?

Recommended Posts

For a 200 amp alt that seems high.

That's what I thought too but I've checked it more than a few times w a dmm at the amp and it usually takes a good minute to even drop that low.

At 2k rpm it's gotta be under 30hz tones to drop the voltage but it literally jumps back to 13.9-14v in like 5 seconds

I am still waiting to see who is quoting those prices.

Michael Singer - Singer Alternators.

I went ahead and placed my order already for the 200A alt. I figured I'm not using the full 5000W rms since the DC XLM2's only rated at 2200W each or so. I should be fine with the extra third battery I hope :)

You will be fine. Mike makes a great alternator. Usually does way more then rated too.
