What size box for 2 hdc3 12s

I just took advantage of AQs black friday sale and bought 2 hdc3 12s and a AQ 2200d, I am planning on building my own box for them. anyone know how much volume and port size these guys like?

I looked at that and it says 3.5 cubes to 5.0 cubes for a box with 2 12s. i was wonder if going bigger is better or stay on the smaller side of that range?

if it were me id do 5 cubes and see how that works out for you.

if not then decrease the volume.

If the 12s are anything like my 18 is, from my understanding since your gonna be running so little power to them you want to build on the bigger side ( I realize they are rated for 1k but its really not enough lol my 18 took my power t1000bd @ 1ohm and laughed,so I ordered a 2200d for it it thanks to the sale lol ) ... But take this with a grain of salt as I'm no box messiah , just telling you what I was told by a few members on here ... Good luck on your build buddy

I would do 5^3-5.5^3 tuned to 34-37 hertz

i did a 5ft^3 box with an 8" aeroport tuned to 36Hz.

wasn't impressed with them >.> maybe my port was a bit too big for 2 12s,

but they were very peaky at higher notes, didnt pick up the lows too well.

but they did ripple the hood of my car:D (heavy metal)

edit: so i guess try a bigger box than 5 cubes, because i wasn't impressed at that volume.

Bigger is better, also notice they give you a port area, follow that as well, top loudness needs high tuning.
