Question Mark
Hello bassheads! I am going to purchase a subwoofer for my build and I would like to save a few bucks. I have a dynabBe BF 7501 amplifier rated 2500 Watts and I am going to run one XS D3100 and a 3400. So the plan is to be running a single SSA ZCON-18 (price is 443$ shipped atm). Would this be more efficient than two other 15s for around the same price as the single 18" woofer? I have no intentions to make any vs thread to clear that up. Omega5002
2 15's tend to be better than 1 18' due to cone area in theory but it depends on application, vehicle, and how much airspace you have to work with. 2003 Kia Sorento Team Subsonic LowsTeam Bassin' on a Budget2016 Rebuild Under Construction Best score: 150.2 at 40hz (3k, 2 Custom HDC3 15's) Usaci style(door open, in the kick)
stroupe79
the 2 15s would be more cone area which is usally better, but depending on vehicle you might not be able to fit 2 15s http://www.stevemead...cherokee-build/ 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Alpine CDE-hd148bt Alpine PKG-RSE2 PRV Audio (4) 6MB200 front/rear doors PRV Audio (4) TW350Ti dash/rear doors Kicker KX350.4 Obsidian Audio (1) 18 D4 v2 revamp (2) Stereo Integrity HT 18d2DC Audio 1.2k5.25ft^3 tuned @34hz revamp Infinite Baffle Cpillar AudioTechnix 60mil deadenerKnuKonceptz & SkyHigh wire (complete setup)
Question Mark
Veichle is volvo v70 The space shouldn't really be an issue? If i go for two 15s I would have to lower the power handlings etc. to stay the same price as the single one. any more inputs?
stroupe79
subs up and port back if you have enough room...try to keep you box lower than your Cargro Cover so you can cover it up when not using it http://www.stevemead...cherokee-build/ 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Alpine CDE-hd148bt Alpine PKG-RSE2 PRV Audio (4) 6MB200 front/rear doors PRV Audio (4) TW350Ti dash/rear doors Kicker KX350.4 Obsidian Audio (1) 18 D4 v2 revamp (2) Stereo Integrity HT 18d2DC Audio 1.2k5.25ft^3 tuned @34hz revamp Infinite Baffle Cpillar AudioTechnix 60mil deadenerKnuKonceptz & SkyHigh wire (complete setup)

Lucky you, I wish I had a V70 over my S70 for bass purposes, though you shouldn't have trouble fitting 2 15's there. 2003 Kia Sorento Team Subsonic LowsTeam Bassin' on a Budget2016 Rebuild Under Construction Best score: 150.2 at 40hz (3k, 2 Custom HDC3 15's) Usaci style(door open, in the kick)

wmrcs
I'd do 2 15's back there. More cone area and motor force and power distribution. E34 540iT/
