Looking very good man! Love the time you're taking to check all the final details. Just got my 2008 back yesterday so I have a pile of equipment to go in when I get some free time

Also just sent you a PM to pick your brain a bit

I got it and hit you back. Hopefully that helps man.

For everyone, I'm happy to answer questions if you have them. Don't be afraid to shoot me a question you have regarding the build. It'll only help you and me both. I may have missed something or just don't know, and maybe I did it cause I saw it somewhere, so if there's an answer we both can benefit from, then I'll happily help you find it.

Remember guys, while obviously i'm doing this for my own daily enjoyment, I'm also doing it to help you all out and share with you as well. I'm not the smartest guy around here, I'm not even in the top 50% I'd bet. But, learning is the main reason I share so much and post so many pictures of what I do.

Ok enough of that, I'll try and get more work done tonight and this weekend. I have a plan of doing multiple things at once so things might get a little crazy. I'm going to attempt to involve the front doors and tweeters this weekend. Get the rings cut, and tweeter pods done, and maybe do some glassing as well. LOTS of filler work to do on the enclosure, but I'm hoping by the end of the weekend it will be in the trunk in it's final resting place.

Hang on to your ears folks, it's about to get nutty around here!! A lot is going to start coming together really quickly. I HOPE!!!!

Updates on materials:

Ordered some more hardener for Rage

Ordered more Rage

Ordered a bunch of scrapers, even though I bought the cheap broad knives

I can't remember if I ordered everglass or not, but I think maybe I didn't.

Ordered a bunch of SHCA primary wire

Ordered SHCA 8ga lugs for subs

Ordered SHCA shrink

OH another thing. I know I have a ton of 3/4" plywood, but should I make my speaker pods out of MDF or use the plywood? Like to hear some input if you would please. What are the benefits of one over the other or is there any?

Ok it's Friday, here we go!!

I don't think it would matter to much on the wood, specially if you're glassing over top of them. If anything just glass around the wood a little more and call it done.

Sounds like your planning of putting in some work this weekend. Not sure if I missed it but, whats your plan for the front baffle? You gonna paint it, or wrap it?

I'm in for the review of SHCA rcas. I would like to run some in my next build, call it OCD but I like all my shit to match.

It's like rubbing your wiener up against a sheep.

You're preaching to the choir on the OCD thing. As you can tell with me.

I'm not going to do anything with it, per say. I'm going to make a couple of outer sub rings for it, then glass those, into a trim panel that goes around the whole area to seal it off. But I have to incorporate the actuator for the back seat and other stuff too. So it may not get done by the time AR rolls around. But we'll see.
