the_garynator Posted December 5, 2012 Report Posted December 5, 2012 i didnt flare it. i actually have no room to flare it. the rear seat is sitting right on top of the port. ill try it though just a heads up, round ports need room to breathe...i.e. they need to be at least their diameter away from any obstructions (assuming you've got a 4" port, it would need to be 4" away from obstructions). Same goes within the box. For example, when I first built my box for my level 5 15", I had 3 precision ports, the opening inside the box was only 2" from the front of the box (rear firing ports). I got a VERY noticable gain when I added some spacers which put the opening 4.25" away. If you've got something covering the opening of your port or really close to it (i.e. rear seat), it's going to adversely affect it's performance. Do you have a picture of your setup that you could post so that we can see what you're working with?
