I'll admit, half way through sanding that fiberglass in the rain and cold while I was all itchy I was definitely starting to question why i was doing this haha

iirc it has something to do with the wave not being able to completely "mature" or form with the space allotted, so when the windows are down i can. some BS like that, not 100% on anything.

i think this is why some cars like to have there set ups facing the rear. maybe a bandpass will get you there.

Being a hatch back and such small cabin space lows are always going to have less of an impact than the higher frequencies. I personally have not benefitted from deadener for musical capabilities but if you haven't yet try putting your box as far back to the trunk as possible.

It rests upon my hatch on the inside, can't go back anymore lol

Ill tell you why, because low frequencies need a longer distance to travel to develop in a sense, and when your windows are down, they have somewhere to go. Make a little bit of sense?

indeed it does

Cone area effects bandwidth?

depends, more motor force..

not to mention the countless stories (including adams) of going from 10s, to 12s and him gaining "lows".

just a suggestion, you dont have to get another sub though.

not like your looking for help anyways apparently.

I only asked because I have read countless times from very reputable people on here that it is mainly the box that effects a subwoofers playability, and that they can get lower sized woofers to do the same as others. Also, how am I not looking for help? It is quite apparent that I am.

Edit:

get your deadening on

Few have said this so far, hope that is true because that is 3rd on my list at the moment, new box/tints, deadening.
