kingsuv Posted December 7, 2012 Report Posted December 7, 2012 The RE XXX comps are really forgiving if you can find them. Steves' front stage really impressed me when I got a demo. I went well past the point of normal on the volume and they took a beating like it was nothing. Them being a pro driver style I would recommend processing. But really any get loud comp set should have protection of a good processing setup Designing, building, and shipping boxes. Yahoo IM - kingsuv00If the listening level is too loud, please inform the driver, so he can promptly pull over, and let you out. not many cars can get me to pluggin my ears but this one.......damn. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.
Tyler L Harstine Posted December 7, 2012 Author Report Posted December 7, 2012 Depends on your budget as we could recommend some low cost components or some really expensive ones. I have had great luck with the jbl p660c components. The hertz hsk 165's are an awesome set of components. Personally though i would stay away from anything that has a metal tweeter as they'll be bright or harsh and take many weeks to get them to mellow out and sound good. I checked those hertz out and they seem pretty cool...is cdt audio any good? 01 Cadillac DTS(totaled) :(stock bose HU & doors2 earthquake tremor-x 15db drive 2000ish watt amp68 cadillac sedan deville(same fate) :'(((pioneer deh-something HUearthquake focus 6x9 rearmassive audio something 6x9 frontsoundstream tweets2 earthquake dbxi-15dmassive audio N4 amp^^subs/amp soon to be in my gf carford excursion (next ride, and planned system)pioneer 80prshigh (2 per a-pillar and 2 per b-pillar) ft1 tweets ^^possibly 1 per door too C1100.4mid (2-4 per door) pwx-10 (2) C1600.2 ampsub 4 dc lvl 6 18 (CF package and maybe other stuff) (2) dc 9k amp ported enclosure @ 30hza few D1600s(2-3) HO altsquite a few feet of 4/0 and 1/0

Skullz Posted December 8, 2012 Report Posted December 8, 2012 Hybrid Audio has some nice speakers also. http://store.12velectronics.com/categories/Hybrid-Audio-Technologies/ The imagine 161v2's are supposed to be really nice for the price and performance. Personally i would get 4 sets of 4 ohm speakers and run it off a ZED audio Dreadnought amp @2 ohm per channel. http://store.soundsolutionsaudio.com/products/zed-audio-dreadnought-4-channel-amplifier.html While not cheap it will be clean, clear and absolutely insane loud. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2

standardcabspl Posted December 8, 2012 Report Posted December 8, 2012 idk how your gonna fit it newer devilles are the fwd platford and trunk layouts are similar to the impala i had and to the cadillac i have now. its not necessarly the airspace issue but 15s had a heights issue in my impala when the box was double walled and bracing in displacement of my subs the box took up 80% of my trunk i belive it was close to 7 cubic foot. had truble fitting it in had to cut out the trunk hinge plates and weld them back in. but goodluck and if you do it im tuned in myself! i was also looking at the hertz dsk series they seem to be really good of not to much power, but if you can afford id go hi energy series with an amp on them i heard them on about 100 watts rms door and the sound was great i loved them Good lord sweet baby Jesus. OP if you have the money i would say go two/three way active. I have a really simple 2 way setup and its very loud and clean sounding. I will probably never go back to passive cross overs. 04 dodge dakota ext cab 4x4 excessive amperage 300 amp alt with MONSTER stud =)sundown z v3 15 in a 4th order on aq2200sundown 100.4 2 way active...2 Prv audio 6mb200 & 2 re XXX tweetersdeka intimidatorkenwood x396big 3 1/0 knu wire back to deka intimidator
