HHR Ed
Hey guys, I need help finding a solution. Would like to find a head unit capable of stream through the USB. I know of a few that stream via BT but this is not acceptable. I would like to use a Tablet PC that runs Windows 8 and run audio into the head unit and not use the headphone jack of the tablet. Would like to use USB output of the tablet. I need the most pure and lossless method. Using USB as aux input on the head unit would be great. Trying to avoid using another device between the tablet and head unit. Thanks dudes. BastardRam ATX
I have a pioneer MVH-P7300 I know it is capable of streaming through the USB, at least from my iPhone. (It can be switched to allow me to control the audio through the iphone as opposed to through the stereo.) So I BELIEVE that it should be able to be used with any device that will plug in via USB, even if you aren't able to have direct control through the head unit. I believe that most new Pioneer units should be capable of this as well. 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 Regular CabPioneer MVH-P7300Orion 800.4Planet Audio Big Bang series 6.5 componentsJL G17002 Diamond Audio D610D4's Build log women drivers no survivors
CaPRiCEx383
Don't think you would be able to live stream through usb. But if your tablet has HDMI out, You can go that route. One of the newer pioneer app radios had an HDMI input. 90 Nissan 240sx Avic z-140bh Audison SR4 Audison Voce 6.5s CDT es-20 tweeters Sundown 1500v3 (2) DD 9510's 3 cube box 2 6" aeros XS Power D2400 & Xp950 Skyhigh/Knukonceptz/Rockford Fosgate wiring More Coming Soon.. But you can also play music off a flash drive. I have one flash drive that had music put on it from a windows machine. Now I'm not sure if that is the same thing or not, but I know it played that without an issue. 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 Regular CabPioneer MVH-P7300Orion 800.4Planet Audio Big Bang series 6.5 componentsJL G17002 Diamond Audio D610D4's Build log women drivers no survivors

But we would want the ability to stream live as to control from the tablet. HatersGonnaHate
From a Windows 8 tablet, I don't think any head unit out there had the software to currently sync and stream Windows through usb. The main devices that the companies havebeen focusing on lately is with android or Apple, Windows 8 is still a new head in the game, as far as car audio, but I'm just not thinking any current head units are compatible yet. My Kenwood Excelon x896 had no problem recognizing and syncing/streaming any of my androids, tablets and phones with various custom rom's on them, so I'd almost venture to guess that it might sync with Windows.... Little idea though, take your Windows tab and your sync cord, and go to a best buy and start plugging them into display models My name is AdamThis is my Civic Build.7" Samsung Tab 2Kenwood KDC-X896Clarion EQS746Sundown X-15DC 3.5k @2ohmHatersGonnaHate's 02 Civic UBLELD Bypass for Honda Civic/Accord/FitDon's Jeep Grand Cherokee Rebuild N8ball2013 - i think you'd stick your dick in a blender if it told you it was 40 wtih two kids your age. lol srp365 - If posting were picking up bitches, I'd be going home single tonight looks like tony montana sneezed in your car. It will be for a friend's install once they get the tablet for Christmas. Otherwise I'd be testing it with the Kenwoods I have in stock here. Kenwood says it won;t work anyway unless I mount as storage device.
