IndianaBassHead
First off, I drive a blazer and I will be using it mostly for daily/demos, but I will also be competing in IASCA Bass Boxing. I was originally going to wall my 3 18's but I'm wandering what the DB gain would be with walling it as opposed to subs up/ port back. It would be a lot easier if I didn't wall it. I was just wandering what the estimated difference would be DB wise. Thanks for the help! My equipment is in my signature. Thanks! mrd6
I dont think the new bassboxing rules are finalized yet so you might want to wait until you can read them over and then make your decision on which class walling or not will put you into (not sure if it makes a difference or not but I think it does?) As to how much louder or not? I really couldn't guess and dont think anyone else could be too accurate either My Build Log: http://www.stevemead...-sundown-power/ Team NorthWestSPL

As to how much louder or not? I really couldn't guess and dont think anyone else could be too accurate either well I saw the new matrix and Denise told me it wouldn't be much different. I would either be in Heavyweight if I wall it, or Lightweight if I don't (since they no longer have Super Lightweight). I don't stand a chance in either division, but I would be able to do better in Lightweight. 8ight
Walls are usually louder, usually. If you like the class you're going to be in now, do some damage and forget walling unless you really want to. I'm gonna hate
IndianaBassHead
Ya, I'm really not all that worried about competing though, more worried about demoing. I've been thinkin today, if I can fit the subs and a port on the baffle, I'm definitely going to wall it. I just like the idea of having 3 18's walled in a blazer. I've never seen it done before, and I would think it would definitely be louder. I'm gonna do some designing on sketchup and I'll post a thread about the design and see what you guys think. Just taking this thread no where, as, i bring nothing to the table but opinion. Excuse me and carry on, and best luck. Hey I'm perfectly fine with opinion, that's what I'm asking for! And thanks. I would do a 6th, but it seems like I would have to buy new soft parts all the time. its all in box....id say wall at b-pillar will always be louder .less area to presureize... non wall is more impressive but it breaks everything.. why not a nasty 4th order I would love to do a 4th, but the HDC3's hate them.
