Wait til your sub-stage is complete and see how it sounds compared to your front stage. If you have too much sub-stage and throw more up front, it'll be nothing but bass. But you could go with a simple 8" midrange driver and do those up there. That will give you more lower frequencies up front if need be. scooter99 Posted May 9, 2013 Report Posted May 9, 2013 I was going to suggest the same thing Adam. Good call. I wouldn't go subs up front either. 8" mid ranges would be ideal, but I'd hold off. What I'm doing with my doors, is I've got 2 PWX 8's going in, with an ft1 per door. But I was contemplating a PWX6 in there as well. But I'm not sure I'm going to need the 6 so I'm doing the hole for the 6, but when I'm done it'll house the ft1 on a panel that will simply unscrew from the spot, and I can put a PWX6 in there, and do my FT1's in the pillar windows. SO it's already ready to go if I need to put them in. You can try and do something like that if you want, make it all ready, do a nice speaker grill over them, and just put plugs in until you decide you need them. It's a little thinner than the 1/4" mdf, but it's easier to bend, and I think it might be just perfect for that. You can get a 2ft x 4ft piece from Home Depot for around $8.
