New Alt Ground?

I was installing my new tenney alternator and I believe the stock belt it too short. It will fold on to the end of the alt but thats it I can't get it to slide on the pulley. What do I need to do? Also where should I ground on the back of the alt?

If it wont fit then obvioulsy its too short

Make sure you are getting full travel from your tensioner pully.

Fixed got a new belt! Now I just have to figure out where to ground or figure out the size of the bolt for the ground.

That bracket looks sketchy. The ground goes on the back where there isn't paint, where you see the bear metal around the center of the alt.

It works though haha. Yeah I'll have to look for a bolt though there wasn't one attached to the alt when I got it...

The alternator casing is the ground, which grounds through the bracket and ultimately the engine block. Which if you did you big3 already then you should be fine. You could always run some 1/0 from a bracket mounting bolt to the chassis ground or even the neg terminal on the battery if you really feel the need.

Yeah I found out the size of the bolt on the ground down part. So I will ground the stock ground and eventually upgrade that to 1/0 also I think that would mean I would have the big 4 then.
