Amplifier for this set up.

Alright my buddy Cooter done went and bought him some Fiberglass door panels with speakers in them and now he has no clue how he's going to power all of this. I'm still fairly new to the car audio game, I'm hoping some of yall will chime in with amplifier/wiring suggestions.

Pictures of the panels

Everything in the doors is Selenium

Each front has

1 Selenium super tweeter 8 ohm

1 8" Selenium Mid Range 8 ohm

1 6.5" Selenium Mid Range 8 ohm

Each Rear door has

1 8" Selenium Mid Range 8 ohm

1 Selenium Super tweeter 8 ohm

and then on the back window he has a custom fiberglass enclosure with

2 10" Selenium Mid Ranges 8 ohm

I already told him he's going to have to run multiple amps, but I have no clue what amps would have enough juice for all this or how to wire it.

Thanks in advance for the help.

I would say 2 crescendo 1100.4's. Wiring the tweets, 6.5's and 10's in parallel will give you a 4ohm load and then wire the 2 8's parallel per side to give you a 4 ohm load per side. Then bridge the amps except for the channels the 8's are on, wire them up normal on the amp to get 4ohms each channel. That's just a shot in the dark though, but it makes sense to me. Like Zydrix said, I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

You can get away with running 2 amps to power everything. What you would do is run a pair of 8" on the rear channels of an amp @ 4 ohms and a pair of Supertweets on each of the front channels @ 4 ohm each channel. Then on the second amp you would run the 2 10's bridged on the rear channel @ 4 ohm and the 6.5's bridged on the front channels @ 4 ohm. Depending on your budget and what exact Seleniums he has I would look at amps rated in the 100w x 4 range should get you plenty loud and you will want to find something active capable or you will have to do external processing or get an HU to do it for you.

Thanks for all the quick replies, no processor or separate DSP. He started bridging things and blew his amp, I'll probably be flying down to Florida to help him once he gets the amplifiers to do the wiring for him.

Ok. Then my favorite amplification is out the window. (passes are not high enough)

I would directly follow scots and bleeds advise. Their recommended will allow proper high passing...

Good luck. The panels look great.
