SnowDrifter
that will be plenty. what is the idle rating on the 320. 100a at 800rpm full power @ 1600 Only 100 at idle? Perhaps it would be worth getting a different, possibly smaller alt with more idle output? I have a 270a alt and I only drop below 14 on certain notes/if I clip the amp. And that's at idle. When I'm driving or revving, I physically can't put enough of a load on the alt to get it to go below 14. And my BC3500 is wired at .5 Quote ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444

dereileak
wish I could put a larger then a 220 in my mazda, 320 is plenty for that, I run 4500rms on a 220 amp, d3100 in the rear, and a d3400 in the front, with going in the low 12's on full tilt, somtimes high 11's, all depends on that bass note its on though, some of those low notes just suck the power, otherwise it stays up in the 13/14's Quote 2006 Mazda3 Hatchback Black 5 Spd ManualPioneer 4300DVD2 Sundown SA-12 (34hz Tune, 3.22 cubes, 14.5 inches per cube, Triple Baffle)Kicker 10ZX2500.1 (2845 RMS) Sub AmpKicker 11ZX650.4 (705 RMS) Mid Amp -- (3 Amps)Kicker KQ3 Active CrossoverKicker KQ30 EqualizerKicker 09QS60.2 Components (Woven Carbon Cones)Kicker 09QS65.2 Components (Woven Carbon Cones) - (3 Sets)2/0 Gauge Electron Beam Technologies (3 Runs, 2 +, 1 -) 1/0 Gauge KNU Kollasal Flex (1 Run for -) 300 Ft Kicker X-Series 16 Gauge Speaker WireXS Power D3400 (Rear)XS Power D3100 (Front)Singer Externally Regulated Alternator (Being Built)+ The Love for Car Audio and BASS <3UBL Build Log <------- Click Here-------> Normal Build Log (For Comments)
