Foolproof 1/0 Gauge Soldering

I do just this with some regular rosin-core cut up and dropped in a 1/0 lug. Works a treat.

Would silver solder work for this method?

That's what I used.

Cool, Ill try this method before I spend 87 cents per slug!

Im not sure when i would use them, but i've got to get some of these, lol

Ace hardware has pure copper wire ends, they would work well on those, and here I go fixing things that dont need fixed

Do you recall how much the terminals for 1/0 cost from ace?

I just crimp those connectors. Stick the wire in, pump the handle a couple times, heat shrink. Done :D

apparently advance auto parts does not have any 1/0 terminals. They barely believe there is wire larger than the 2awg they have. noobs

If you can find one carquest and Napa carry 1/0 copper lugs. I wanna say around a dollar per. That's what I rsn in my truck and attempted to solder them. Its is very hard on those closed one to solder for me lol
