scoobywrx05 Posted January 22, 2013 Report Share Posted January 22, 2013 Silver solder holds stronger, has a higher sheer point and has a higher melting point. As long as it's a good silver solder. I usually use solder that has 30-40% lead in it for the smaller stuff and use silver in places that I can put some good heat to it. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

That's what I rsn in my truck and attempted to solder them.
