Never had any problems with my carbon.

Note: I love carbon fiber..

true carbon fiber is very strong. There should be no reason for it to crack....Although some companies use fiberglass and then just apply single layer of carbon fiber.

Try asking Greg(captainstupid) on here. He works with carbon fiber, so he should be able to answer any questions

I'd just be worried specifically about the hatch, especially if you are doing a port back config. But as I said: ask Greg. He knows more about the stuff than I do

carbon fiber might actually be better as a trunk lid it will vibrate as one peice insted of rattling tin hitting eachother carbon fiber is VERY strong only thing ive seen is the gel coat(clearcoat) can crackle or spiderweb a little(on a ollld Honda) but the actual carbon fiber will stay strong
