did it really short, or just spark?

Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through.

But no really, does it till work or is it done for?

if its not working, check your fuses, if you were lucky, you popped a fuse before any damage was done, check that, if fuse is popped replace, see if amp works, if it doesn't, you can take the back off, see if there is anything you can replace that might have blown, by re soldering a new one in, and go from there,

My friend put the negative into the positive and the positive into the negative on his amp and all it did was blow a fuse. We swore the thing was blown until I was like I bet the fuse under the hood is blown. And problem solved.

Did it smoke? Pop a fuse? Won't turn on anymore? How did you short it?
